Seattle, WA – August 4, 2005
Helac Corporation, a worldwide leader in the design and production of helical, hydraulic rotary actuators for OEM applications and after-market construction equipment attachments since 1974, announced the appointment of Chris Folk to the position of Product Manager. In this newly created position, Folk will be responsible for new product development and managing customer projects for both product divisions. He brings over 25 years of product management, application engineering, customer service and business management experience to Helac with an outstanding track record of success in managing, developing and positioning products that have boosted profitability and established market domination.
"Functioning in several capacities, Chris will fill a critical role at Helac Corporation," said Gerd Weyer, vice president of sales and marketing, Helac Corporation. "Our customers will benefit greatly from Chris’s deep commitment to quality, delivery, service and price. Equally important, Chris will work directly with our customers on their individual projects to ensure Helac provides the optimum solution for their applications."
Folk’s responsibilities will encompass three basic functions. First, as product manager, he will assume the leading role in improvement of existing products. His second responsibility will be new product development, spearheading all stages of the product development process, from initial conceptualization through market introduction. Third, he will serve as liaison between customers and the Helac engineering team.
"I fully embrace Helac’s corporate dedication to reducing costs, enhancing quality and achieving on-time delivery," Folk said. "I plan to focus on establishing and nurturing excellent customer relationships, defining existing and future product needs and working toward the establishment of higher internal efficiencies, all of which will enable our customers to improve their product offerings and maintain leadership positions in their respective industries."
Prior to joining Helac Corporation, Folk worked for over 20 years at Tally Printer Corporation, an International manufacturer of industrial printers, where he successfully developed and launched a product family that increased profitability by 10 percent. He also garnered significant experience working directly with customers in various capacities, including application engineering, product management, customer service and technical support.
